parrot-minimal software package provides minimal install of the Parrot VM, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install parrot-minimal
parrot-minimal is installed in your system.
Make ensure the parrot-minimal package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep parrot-minimal *
You will get with parrot-minimal package name, version, architecture and description in a table
